Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for an Editor. The Editor will be responsible for reviewing and editing written content, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines. They will collaborate with writers and other team members to improve content quality and consistency. The Editor will also provide feedback and guidance to writers to enhance their writing skills.

Responsibilities:

Edit and proofread written content, including articles, blog posts, and social media posts, to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines.
Collaborate with writers and content creators to develop engaging and informative content that resonates with our target audience.
Conduct thorough research on skateboarding trends, events, and news to stay up-to-date with industry developments.
Manage editorial calendars and deadlines to ensure timely delivery of content.
Optimize content for SEO to improve visibility and drive organic traffic to our website.
Assist in developing and implementing editorial strategies to enhance the overall quality and reach of our content.
Stay informed about best practices in editing, writing, and content creation to continuously improve our processes and standards.

Qualifications

Strong editing and proofreading skills
Excellent command of language and grammar
Attention to detail and ability to adhere to brand guidelines
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Proficiency in using editing tools and software
Experience in the skateboarding industry or related field is a plus
Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 40 per week

Salary Range: $70,000 - $125,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
