What you’ll be doing in this role
As part of the Campaigns and Communications team, you will help to deliver CCDH’s digital outputs and campaigns to high quality. This includes across social media, website, email, and digital mobilization. You will need to be creative, proactive, and a great communicator. This role also supports the Press team, events and wider campaign functions as needed.

Main responsibilities will include:
- Support the creation of social media kits, graphics, short videos, live streams, and other ad-hoc outputs using the necessary tools.
- Create content for social media channels – including Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, Threads, and X (Twitter).
- Support the creation, scheduling, and monitoring of communications, including social media, website and email.
- Support the production and management of digital campaigns and report launches.
- A can-do attitude - we often work to breaking news or events and have to move quickly to hit changing deadlines.
- Publish content and build pages using our CRM and CMS to drive engagement and action, and inform the public.
- Work with the wider team to monitor the news and social media for opportunities to promote our work.
- Support the creation of digital performance reports.
- Help to run and manage the info@ email inbox, responding to general requests and supporters.
- Work with Campaigns, Policy, Development & Research to execute CCDH's campaigns.
- Work with the Digital Communications Manager and Digital Communications Officer to implement our multi-channel year-round digital communications growth strategy.
- Review digital performance periodically to suggest improvements - including Google Analytics, Sprout reports, and Engaging Networks reports.
- Stay on top of digital communications trends, including news, conversations and keywords related to CCDH’s work.
- Attend internal and external meetings as necessary.
Person Specification
Essential
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in digital communications or marketing.
- A creative communicator who can help make our issues accessible and memorable to the public.
- Experience working with social media platforms – demonstrable experience on TikTok and Instagram.
- Experience with Social Media Management tools such as SproutSocial or similar.
- Experience with monitoring, analyzing and reporting on social media performance.
- Experience with platforms such as WordPress (or similar CMS) and/or Engaging Networks (or similar CRM).
- Experience using Adobe Creative Suite or other tools like Canva to produce multimedia content such as social media graphics or small clips of video content.
- Savvy social media writer
- Savvy video creator (Reels, TikTok)
- Can produce compelling content quickly and accurately
- Filming experience
- Digital advocacy understanding (campaigns, petitions, hand-raisers) Understanding of US pop & political culture
- SEO understanding
- Content marketing principles understanding & industry trends
- Influencer outreach/management
- Interviewing/voxpops experience
Desirable
- Experience working in international markets a plus
- Paid advertising (Facebook, TikTok)
- Graphic design (print & digital)
Compensation Package
- Location: Washington DC (Hybrid)
- Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 (depending on experience)
