Data Entry Clerk
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a data entry clerk. The primary responsibility of this role is to input and maintain data accurately and efficiently into our company's database system.
Responsibilities:
- Input data from various sources into computer systems and databases accurately and efficiently.
- Verify data by comparing it to source documents and make necessary corrections.
- Update existing data as needed.
- Compile and sort information to prepare source data for computer entry.
- Perform regular data backups to ensure data preservation.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all data by adhering to company policies and procedures.
- in generating reports and preparing data for analysis as requested.
- Respond to inquiries regarding entered data.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work and time spent on tasks.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a data entry clerk or similar role.
- Proficient in using computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent typing skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of data entry best practices and confidentiality standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, Oracle).
