Job Summary:
This internship offers a valuable opportunity for you to gain hands-on experience in web content writing and digital marketing. As an intern, you will be responsible for crafting engaging and optimized content for websites and other online platforms. Your role will involve extensive research to generate ideas for content that enhances our brand awareness and support our digital marketing objectives. You will write articles for our Medium page, copyedit job posts, and collaborate closely with team members to ensure content quality. Additionally, you will assist the community manager by providing polished and compelling job postings for our online community.
Responsibilities:
- In charge of creating content for our social media platforms like Medium and LinkedIn, as well as other online platforms.
- Produce articles, blog posts, product descriptions, landing page content, and other written materials to inform, entertain, or persuade online visitors.
- Responsible for optimizing content for search engines (SEO) to improve visibility and drive organic traffic to the website and other online platforms.
- Conduct extensive research to generate ideas for content that enhances brand awareness and support our digital marketing objectives.
- Edit and refine job posts to ensure they are clear, compelling, and error-free before submitting them to the community manager.
- Assist in planning and scheduling content to ensure a consistent and timely flow of information to our audience.
- Provide weekly reports on content performance, engagement metrics, and any areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Education: Pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, or a related field.
- Portfolio showing relevant writing samples, social media profiles, or blog posts demonstrating writing ability and creativity (optional but a plus)
- Proficiency in proofreading and editing with a keen eye for grammar, spelling, and style.
- Proven writing experience through coursework, personal projects, or internships is preferred.
- A basic understanding of major social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Medium, etc., is a plus. Awareness of trends, hashtags, and best practices for engagement is also a plus.
- Basic Knowledge of SEO: Understand the basic principles of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and how to incorporate keywords effectively into content. You can use keyword research tools like Google Keyword Planner or SEMrush.
- Creativity and Adaptability: Ability to think creatively and adapt writing style to different platforms and target audiences. Willingness to experiment with new content formats and ideas to drive engagement.
- Team Player and Fast Learner: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment. Eagerness to learn, take direction, and contribute ideas to improve content strategy.
- Tech Savvy: Comfortable using digital tools and software for content creation and scheduling. Experience with graphic design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is beneficial but optional.
- Enthusiasm for working in a startup environment and willingness to take on diverse tasks and responsibilities as needed.
