Role
The Advisor, Customer Intelligence & Operations plays a key role in structuring the our client operations in terms of its governance structure, operational processes, automation, and business information. The primary focus is the Back-office operations automation that link these aspects of Oriental's operations together. The Advisor works with the Operational Design & Automation team to develop an integrated view of the operations using a repeatable approach, cohesive framework, and available industry standard techniques.
Organization
Reports to the Automation Architect Team Leader within Operations management and works closely with a counterpart in operations and IT to align technical solutions with business needs. Act as a systems and applications technical expert, analyst, designer, and developer in the Automation Architect team at Center of Excellence. In addition, works with the management, Team Leader, Business Architects and Operation units providing systematically automated solutions as they leverage business architecture artifacts to create their business plans. Finally, the Advisor should provide direct input to management and the Team Leader for the governance cycle that supports the achievement of key goals, planning and execution of various business scenarios, and delivery of bottom-line business value.
Responsibilities
· Collaborate with Business Architects and operations teams to design, test, develop and implement long term solutions including roadmap, tools, framework, and solution approach.
· Analyze user’s requirements to recommend systematically automated solutions for streamlined processes with the proper tools.
· Work with the Team Leader, Business Architects, product owners and technical teams across the institution for resolution of technical issues of the products as needed.
· Understands the operation ecosystems, data shared across the systems and the relationships between those data.
· Recommends new tools, techniques and methodologies needed to enhance technical performance and quality of the applications.
· Analyze and plan changes through a continuous build environment to accelerate software deployment and development processes, within an Agile framework.
· Prepare and maintain proper technical documentation upon the stage and requirements of the project.
· Apply a structured approach and methodology for the Life Cycle Development.
· Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint.
Skills and Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business, Finance, or similar field required.
· Three (3) years of relevant business architecture, optimization and/or automation required.
· The minimum education and experience required can be substituted with the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
· A broad, enterprise-wide knowledge of software programs, automation options and system related architectures enabling systematically streamlined solutions.
· Good knowledge in operational applications concepts and programming languages
· Demonstrated skill in using coding standards and being an active participant in code reviews.
· User interface, webservice technology and/or API level test automation expertise
· Experienced in implementing testing and QA frameworks and applications using Agile methodologies.
· Thorough understanding and hands on experience enhancing automation frameworks.
· Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis abilities.
· The ability to visualize and create high-level models that can be used in future analysis to extend and mature the business architecture.
· Broad experience planning and deploying both business and IT initiatives.
· Experience modeling technical processes using a variety of tools and techniques.
· Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations.
· The ability to act as liaison conveying information needs of the business to IT and data constraints to the business; applies equal conveyance regarding automation for business strategy and IT strategy, business processes and workflow automation, business initiatives and IT initiatives, and benefit realization and service delivery.
· Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus.
· Strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities
· Good knowledge of other Agile frameworks (Crystal, XP etc.)
· Problem-solving and conflict-resolution ability
· Strong organizational skills
