Manager Call Notes
- This is Not a DevOps role, not much automation and where there is, it falls on the engineering team
- This role is mostly operations and responding to tickets, but they need to have strong working knowledge of Azure across the board
- Troubleshooting skills – especially around networking, communication, supporting app teams
- Working across many environments
- Being able to departmentalize from a support perspective
- Scripting, responding to customers, the app team
- Working in Jira
- Very support oriented, not DevOps, not Development, NOT looking for Desktop Support
- This position will work heavily with the app team – when they break something, this person will step in and help figure out the root cause of the problem
- Good problem solving skills
- Must be onsite Tuesdays and Wednesdays
- Will be on call rotation – answer pages when on call
- Flexibility to work rotational schedule as needed – the offshore team will cover non business hours though
Azure Platform Engineer
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts: This includes familiarity with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS) models.
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure services: This includes virtual machines, storage, networking, databases, security, and other core Azure services like Frontdoor/ExpressRoute.
- Experience with scripting languages: PowerShell and Azure CLI are essential for automating tasks and managing Azure resources.
- Networking expertise: Understanding of networking concepts like IP addresses, firewalls, and load balancing is crucial.
- Linux and Windows administration (pertaining to Azure): Familiarity with both operating systems is beneficial as many Azure services run on these platforms.
- Operations Experience: Handling incidents and pagers for business critical
