We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer for a large, global B2B high-tech company. This role will be responsible for managing and resolving the most challenging issues and escalation for the customer and providing technical guidance in addressing their business needs.
This is a 12-month contract to hire, 40 hours per week hybrid role. This position may require a to work onsite 2-3 days a week.
This is a W2 employee of Stage 4 Solutions. Health benefits and 401K are offered.
Responsibilities
- The Technical Support Engineer will be responsible for managing and resolving challenging issues for ServiceNow partners and customers. This includes developing subject matter expertise within the technical support department.
- The engineer is responsible for owning and resolving issues daily created by customers seeking help to understand or resolve an unexpected behavior or answer technical questions about the ServiceNow software and platform.
- Support engineers use the ServiceNow platform via an internal implementation of its tools to diagnose and solve customer issues reported.
- This is a customer-facing role in a very collaborative environment and therefore it requires strong interpersonal skills.
Requirements
- Knowledge on LDAP/Active Directory, SSO or other authentication or user management systems
- Understanding of Email Troubleshooting (e.g. Office 365, Exchange )
- Knowledge on Web Services (SOAP, REST)
- Working knowledge on Network troubleshooting (e.g. Ping, Telnet)
- Hands on experience in any bi-directional, integration between two systems
- Some experience with Scripting languages: JavaScript preferred
- Experience with relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Oracle)
- Experience with the gathering and reading of various log files
