Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Neuroscience and AI Research to lead our research efforts in the fields of neuroscience and artificial intelligence. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of our research programs, ensuring that they align with our strategic objectives and drive innovation in memory care solutions.
Please Note:This is an equity-only position until the completion of our Seed funding round.
Key Responsibilities:
Research Leadership:
- Develop and execute research strategies in neuroscience and AI that align with MemoryCareAI’s mission and goals.
- Lead and manage the neuroscience and AI research team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Ensure the highest standards of scientific rigor and integrity in all research activities.
Scientific Research:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and analysis of research studies focused on memory care.
- Drive the development and validation of AI and machine learning models for applications in neuroscience.
- Manage the acquisition, processing, and utilization of large-scale data sets for AI/ML model training and validation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate research findings into practical solutions and products.
- Collaboration and Partnerships:
- Establish and maintain collaborations with academic institutions, research organizations, and industry partners.
- Represent MemoryCareAI at scientific conferences, symposia, and industry events.
- Funding and Resource Management:
- Identify and pursue funding opportunities, including grants and partnerships.
- Manage research budgets and ensure efficient allocation of resources to support research activities.
- Dissemination and Communication:
- Publish research findings in high-impact, peer-reviewed journals.
- Present research results at scientific conferences and other relevant forums.
- Communicate complex scientific concepts to non-scientific stakeholders, including the executive team and investors.
Qualifications:
- PhD in Neuroscience, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in scientific research, with a focus on neuroscience and AI.
- Proven track record of leading research teams and managing complex research projects.
- Strong expertise in AI, machine learning, and the management of large-scale data sets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding and manage research budgets.
- A commitment to advancing memory care through innovative research.
