We are looking for aBioinformatician/Computational Scientist to join this dynamic group. Ideally candidates will have a strong foundation in computational and systems biology, AI, machine learning, data science, and bioinformatics (focus on developing innovative methodologies.)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement machine learning, AI, and data science approaches for bioinformatics.
- Conduct computational analyses of microbial systems, including metabolic simulations, flux balance analysis, catalytic efficiency prediction, and trophic network analysis.
- Perform genomic, metagenomic, and marker gene analyses.
- Manage and analyze large biological datasets generated from various omics technologies.
- Run and troubleshoot existing bioinformatics workflows such as QIIME2, Anvi’o, or VEBA.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Python, R, and Bash (Required).
- Tech-savvy with a passion for adopting new technologies.
- Experience with high-performance computing and/or cloud-based platforms is preferred.
