Role Description
This is a remote role for a Staff Writer at Insanely Cool Tools. As a Staff Writer, you will be responsible for researching and writing about the latest software and digital tools. Your day-to-day tasks will include staying updated on industry trends, researching and testing new tools, and creating engaging and informative content for our blog.
While the newsletter is the main product at the moment, the website and blog will become increasingly important and will be a main driver for growth and brand awareness.
The schedule is highly flexible and you can write at a regular cadence that you choose. If you would like to be a Contributing Writer instead (irregular, even more flexible schedule), feel free to apply as well, and we can discuss.
For content examples, head to https://insanelycooltools.com/blog. When you write for the blog, your name will appear at the top of the article as the author and link to your author page with your personal bio and personal links (if any).
Qualifications
- Excellent research and writing skills
- Strong knowledge and interest in technology and software
- Ability to write concise and engaging content
- Experience in writing for online publications or blogs
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Experience with social media platforms
- Previous experience in tech journalism or blogging is a plus
- Experience writing SEO-driven content is a plus
