Summary:
The SEO Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing effective SEO strategies to improve the company's search engine rankings, drive organic traffic, and generate qualified leads. This role requires a deep understanding of SEO best practices, keyword research, content optimization, and analytics, with a specific focus on the roofing contractor niche.
Key Responsibilities:
- SEO Strategy Development:
- Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive SEO strategies tailored to the roofing industry.
- Conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities and gaps.
- Stay updated with the latest SEO trends, algorithm changes, and industry best practices.
- Keyword Research & Optimization:
- Perform thorough keyword research to identify relevant and high-performing keywords.
- Optimize website content, meta tags, and images to improve search engine visibility.
- Develop and implement a content strategy that aligns with keyword research.
- On-Page & Off-Page SEO:
- Conduct on-page optimization, including improving website structure, URL hierarchy, and internal linking.
- Develop and execute link-building strategies to improve domain authority.
- Monitor and address technical SEO issues, such as site speed, mobile-friendliness, and crawl errors.
- Content Creation & Optimization:
- Collaborate with the content team to create high-quality, SEO-friendly content, including blog posts, landing pages, and service descriptions.
- Optimize existing content to improve rankings and engagement.
- Ensure all content is aligned with SEO best practices and the company’s branding guidelines.
- Analytics & Reporting:
- Use SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs) to track, report, and analyze website performance.
- Provide regular reports on SEO performance, including traffic, rankings, and conversions.
- Make data-driven recommendations to improve SEO strategies and tactics.
- Local SEO:
- Optimize the company's presence on local search platforms, including Google My Business.
- Ensure consistency of NAP (Name, Address, Phone Number) across all local listings and citations.
- Implement strategies to improve local search rankings and drive traffic from local searches.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an SEO Specialist, preferably in the home services or roofing industry.
- In-depth knowledge of SEO best practices, search engine algorithms, and ranking factors.
- Proficiency with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, etc.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make actionable recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) and website optimization tools.
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to SEO.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred).
