Job Description:
As a Part-Time Lead UI/UX Designer at Pebble the App, you will play a critical role in designing and improving our app interface and user experience. This is an unpaid role intended for experience only, with the opportunity for growth within the company. You will collaborate with our team to create user-friendly designs that enhance the digital shopping experience for event attendees and provide valuable insights to event organizers and marketplace sellers.
Key Responsibilities:
- User Research: Conduct user research to understand the needs, preferences, and behaviors of event attendees, organizers, and marketplace sellers. Use this data to inform design decisions.
- Wireframing and Prototyping: Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to visualize and test design concepts. Ensure designs are user-centered and intuitive.
- UI Design: Design visually appealing and consistent user interfaces for the app, adhering to branding guidelines and design principles.
- Usability Testing: Plan and conduct usability tests to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement. Iterate on designs based on user feedback.
- Collaboration: Work closely with developers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of designs into the app. Communicate design rationale and provide guidance during implementation.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive design documentation, including user personas, journey maps, wireframes, and style guides.
Qualifications:
- Education: Currently pursuing or completed a degree in UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- Experience: Previous UI/UX design experience or coursework is preferred but not required.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
- Excellent visual design skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure.
- Interest in the event industry and technology.
