Position Description: Grants Coordinator - a volunteer and remote position.
The Grants Coordinator is responsible for the full spectrum of grant proposal development, including identifying organizational needs and funding sources, crafting compelling proposals, providing technical support and training, and managing all grant-related recordkeeping and research.

Reports to: Resource Development Manager
Location: Primarily remote. While it’s expected that most work can be completed remotely, there may be occasions where in-person meetings and networking events may take place. Still optional to attend. The organization is based in South Florida, but the scope of its programming and services is generally the entire state.
Responsibilities:
· Identify and share information on federal, state, local, and private grant funding opportunities.
· Gather data and information from various sources, including documents, the Internet, and databases, to support grant proposals.
· Craft grant proposals using advanced technical writing skills.
· Edit and revise grant applications for clarity, accuracy, and compliance.
· Submit grant proposals both online and in hard copy.
· Provide assistance to project developers, including coordinating grant writing team meetings.
· Offer technical advice and information to staff in relevant areas.
· Develop and conduct training sessions on proposal development.
· Enter and maintain grant information in a database system.
· Participate in workshops, conferences, and meetings at local, state, regional, and national levels.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
· Proven success in technical writing, proofreading, editing, copywriting, grant writing, or similar communication formats.
· Familiarity with federal, state, and community funding sources and mechanisms.
· Understanding of grant funding policies and procedures.
· Awareness of current trends in grant writing and related fields.
· Strong analytical and organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and related software applications.
· Ability to manage databases and organize resources effectively.
· Capacity to work independently and manage time efficiently.
· Competence in analyzing and interpreting financial data and preparing financial reports and projections.
· Capability to lead projects and delegate tasks appropriately.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Ability to thrive in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with diverse stakeholders.

· This is a volunteer and remote position.
· Volunteer contract only for the year
Schedule:
- Self-determined schedule, but need updates monthly
- 2 to 10 hours a week
