The Opportunity
We are looking for an individual who enjoys working in a fully remote environment and finds joy and inspiration in consistent collaboration with others. We are looking for an Optimist who is driven to do their best, looks for opportunity in every challenge, joy in authentic partnership and magic in making good things happen.
This is an entry-level, fully remote position. With the opportunity for some in-person meetings/work sessions. This position is great for recent college grads. Previous experience (full time or internship) is a strong plus, but not required.
This Optimist will report to one of our agency’s Vice Presidents and be part of the team on marquee accounts.
In this role, you will work closely with senior team members across the agency to collaborate on a variety of different client campaigns. You’ll be connected and involved in all aspects of campaign planning and execution. You’ll “do it all” as you learn and grow in the job.
It’s a very hands-on role that will be instrumental in driving our day-to-day work for multiple clients and plays an important role in keeping teams organized, tracking activity status, tracking coverage and monitoring media coverage of clients and competitors and the industry.
Primary responsibilities:
- Media monitoring: Tracking client press coverage -- clipping, recording and reporting program results to clients; daily monitoring of industry news, trending topics and conversations to identify story opportunities.
- Research: Conducting audits and research for client projects; building and maintaining agency media lists with ongoing review of outlets, reporters and influencers.
- Meeting management: Coordinating team and client meetings, including scheduling, preparing and circulating agendas, note taking during meetings and follow up.
- Writing and editing support: Drafting recaps and reports, and agency correspondence; proofreading documents for team members to ensure quality; learning to write strong pitches and other press materials.
- Program support: Coordinating media interview requests for clients, including drafting interview prep materials; assisting with event logistics, invitations and staffing; and participating in media and influencer relations.
- General administration: Prepare weekly program reports for clients; maintain team files, including documents lists and databases to keep programs organized, current and accurate; assist with account administration, including billing; maintain agency calendar; other administrative duties, as required.

Experience requirements:
- Internship experience is strongly preferred
- Preferred: Undergraduate degree or equivalent ideally in the field of PR, Communications, Marketing, Business or Journalism
- Actively communicates via social media platforms
- Proficiency with Google docs (spreadsheets, slides, docs)
- Proficiency with Cision and/or other media database dashboard.
Location: This role is fully remote.
Compensation:
- Salary starting at $53,000 plus bonus eligibility and benefits (more below)
