Position: Cybersecurity Analyst Location: Remote (US) Employment Type: Full-time (Contract or Regular)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct security assessments, threat analyses, and risk evaluations
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts to identify potential threats
- Investigate and respond to security incidents in a timely manner
- Collaborate with teams to implement and enforce security policies
Requirements:
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Familiarity with cybersecurity tools like SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security solutions
- Understanding of common cybersecurity frameworks and standards
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret security data
- Effective communication skills for reporting and collaboration
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity or related roles
- Practical experience with incident response, threat detection, and vulnerability management
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and protocols
- Experience working with cloud security concepts is a plus
Working Hours:
- Standard working hours from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm or 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
Education:
- No specific university degree required, but relevant certifications in cybersecurity are beneficial
