The Staff Accountant plays an integral part in Streamlinevents Event Management financial strategy. The Staff Accountants enjoys a fast-paced environment, be a team player and have an excellent ability to prioritize individual and team objectives.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provide financial oversight during event budget creation and final client contract stage, providing insights and recommendations
- Provide financial support for assigned events pre-operation
- Provide on-site financial support when required
- Ensure all invoicing is completed as required for clients, sponsors and attendees
- Provide support and training for the final reconciliations process to cross functional teams such as Operations, Event Technology and Sales
- Review all Working Program Bills
- Complete final reconciliations
- Complete assigned account reconciliations at month end close
- Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 4-6 years of accounting experience, with increasing levels of responsibilities
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting concepts
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables and v-lookup formulas
- Ability to thrive in fast-growing environment where change is the norm; requires strong multi-tasking skills, and the flexibility to switch from one project to the next quickly
- Experience with NetSuite
- Must be a fast learner, reliable, with a professional attitude
- Strong analytical skills, exceptional organization and time management skills, and ability to work autonomously
- Hands-on approach, extremely detail oriented
- Ability to initiate communication, effectively follow through and provide status updates
- Professional judgment and ability to interact with different levels of employees
