AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Analysis & Preparation
- Maintains, creates, and organizes financial analytical reports utilizing a variety of data sources within the organization.
- Completes various ad-hoc data analysis projects and studies.
- Partners with all departments to maintain accurate records.
- Lead preparation of Medicare Cost Report data requests and other reimbursement related requests.
- Oversees reimbursement compliance.
- Prepares WA State Disproportionate Share (DSH) Surveys and applications.
- Coordinates data requests for audit and other related reporting needs.
- Provide decision support to executive management to identify key business issues, outline strategic alternatives, and recommend cost effective solutions.
- Participates in designing, implementing and liaison for provider compensation models, and aligning with organizational strategies--to include analysis for RVU and quality metrics.
- Acts as internal auditor--reviewing activities of financial and data risk and reporting accuracies. Partners with leaders in relevant departments to develop and implement a risk mitigation plan.
- Coordinates with Senior Manager of Revenue Cycle to monitor and report payer contract compliance.
Statistical Reporting
- Gathers relevant statistical information for each department of the organization.
- Analyzes statistical information compared to benchmarks and trends.
- Audits statistical data.
- Reports statistical data to organizational leadership as well as any regulatory or other 3rd party agencies requiring such data.
340(b) Program
- Audits 340B-qualified transactions to assess compliance.
- Verifies patient, provider, and drug eligibility criteria are met.
- Conducts audits to prevent duplicate discounts and diversion in the 340B program.
- Assists in designing systems and processes to limit program liabilities.
- Compiles benchmarking and performance metrics.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree or 4 years minimum applicable experience in a hospital or healthcare-focused industry.
- Expert technical skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated computer keyboarding and data entry ability.
Preferred
- Knowledge of RVU-based provider compensation models.
- Expert technical skills in Microsoft Access, SQL, VBA.
- Knowledge of 340(b) drug program.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This position is primarily working in an office environment. This may include irregular working hours including weekends and on-call responsibilities. Travel to off-site locations for meetings, education and training may be required. Primarily stationary with occasional standing, walking, lifting, reaching carrying, kneeling, bending, stooping, pushing and pulling of objects weighing up to 20lbs. The position requires continuous finger dexterity and fine manipulation.
