Our team is looking for a driven, enthusiastic Groomer Recruiter to support the growth of our grooming team.
You will be responsible for creating a smooth, efficient, and excellent experience for our grooming candidates throughout their interview process. You will also be a key partner to the Talent Acquisition Lead in optimizing recruiting operations.
Our ambitious growth plans are fueled by our ability to source, attract and retain talented groomers. Hiring the nation’s best dog groomers and support staff is priority #1 for the company, and you would be an essential part of this high-impact work!

Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end recruiting processes, including job postings, application review, screenings, and offer negotiation
- Deliver a stellar candidate experience: identify and anticipate candidate's needs; follow issues to closure; collaborate with the People Team to maximize the candidate experience.
- Dive into the grooming world to sourcing candidates from both traditional (Indeed, LinkedIn) and less conventional (Groomer community groups, grooming schools, etc) avenues.
- Maintain a close pulse on Groombuggy’s operations and the groomer experience to evolve your tactics harmoniously with company priorities over time.
- Embody Groombuggy’s values (Resilience, Company First, Safety & Respect, Positive Energy) to nurture cultural alignment with everyone on the team
- Ensure excellent ATS hygiene, timely documentation, and clean data
Success for this role is ensuring a clean, organized recruiting process that creates a great candidate experience and results in many new groomers and support staff hired expeditiously in accordance to our targeted hiring goals.
Requirements
We’re looking for someone with the following skills and characteristics:
- 2+ years of work experience
- 2+ years of experience in recruiting and talent acquisition with a significant focus on recruiting a skilled hourly workforce in the United States.
- Demonstrated ability to fulfill hiring goals within a high volume environment. Bonus if you have experience at a growth-stage, rapidly scaling company
- Previous sourcing experience with focus on passive and active candidate generation.
- An excitement to learn about the pet industry and world of dog grooming
- Experience working with Ashby or similar ATS.
- A thoughtful communicator that can tailor clear and concise communication to all levels and types of audiences. Ability to get new recruits across all lanes of the business excited about Groombuggy.
- Great internal team collaboration with a “customer service” mentality
- Vigorously detail oriented, masterful personal organization and powerful intrinsic motivation
- Endless enthusiasm - charges the batteries of those around you
- Total fluency in written and spoken English
- Strong, reliable internet connection and electricity is a must. Also required for you to have your own well-functioning computer with a good headset for phone / voice.
We are based in the San Francisco Bay Area. However this role can be done remotely anywhere. We are targeting states where we have existing employees, particularly Colorado, Utah, Virginia, Maryland and North Carolina to start.
