Job Overview:
Patient Enrollment Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional service by welcoming our patients and members, ensuring a seamless enrollment experience.
- Answers and responds to telephone inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Ability to work within multiple different software solutions to facilitate patient flow
- Schedules appointments
- Gathers patient’s insurance information
- Verifies and enters patient demographics into EMR ensuring all fields are complete
- Verifies medical insurance information and enters into EMR
- Maintains a clear understanding of insurance plans and is able to communicate insurance information to the patients
- Ensure digital forms are prepared in enrollment for patient to receive treatment
- Maintains a clean workspace at all times
- Performs other duties as needed and as assigned by manager
- Must have access to private, quiet, and clean work space
Qualifications:
You have exceptional professionalism and can clearly articulate with our patients in face to face verbal and written communications. This role is fast paced and requires you to have both a strong organization and sales mindset. As the face of our office, you will need proactive customer service skills and the ability to exhibit friendly and courteous behavior in all patient interactions.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred but not required
- Minimum of 1 year of previous front office, preferably in a healthcare customer service or patient advocacy setting
- Superior multi-tasking and time management discipline
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with staff and support services
- Skilled in handling sensitive matters and patients with tact, courtesy, and discretion
- Technically savvy with computers and systems including intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite
Candidate in MST or PST preferred, with desired work hours to end at 9 PM EST
Compensation:
- $17 - $23/ hour
- Stock option package opportunities
