Position Overview
The Director of Research Analytics will lead our research analytics team, driving the development and implementation of advanced analytical models and quantitative research methodologies. This role demands a strategic thinker with a strong technical background, excellent managerial skills, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. The Director of Research Analytics will report directly to the CEO and play a pivotal role in guiding the company's research strategy and decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and mentor a team of data analysts and researchers.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Ensure the team meets project deadlines and quality standards.
- Research & Analytics
- Develop and implement predictive analytic models to drive business insights.
- Conduct quantitative research, including survey design and programming.
- Oversee sample field management and ensure the accuracy of data collection.
- Develop and apply research methodologies tailored to specific business needs.
- Script and implement filters for straight liners and speeders in survey data.
- Technical Expertise
- Utilize Python and other analytical tools for data analysis and model building.
- Apply strong analytical skills to interpret complex datasets and generate insights.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data through meticulous attention to detail.
- Strategic Planning & Execution
- Collaborate with the CEO and other senior leaders to develop and execute research strategies.
- Translate research findings into actionable business recommendations.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in research methodologies.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Negotiate with online panel providers to secure cost-effective and high-quality samples.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in data analytics, quantitative research, or a related area.
- Proven experience in developing predictive analytic models and conducting quantitative research.
- Experience with survey design, programming, and sample field management.
- Proficiency in Python and other relevant data analytics tools.
