Job Description:
The Admissions Representative plays a critical part in the recruitment journey, guiding prospective students supporting outreach activities to the initial inquiry and through enrollment. Reporting to the Director of Admissions and Outreach and the Chief Operations Officer, they will also work closely with other department leaders to develop and implement effective enrolment strategies to support the growing student population. Currently this role requires work in-person, on campus Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and remote work is available on Fridays. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required to accommodate attendance at events, campus functions and occasional monitoring of leads.

Utilizing technology and data to inform the decision-making process will be a key component to deliver exceptional results.
Responsibilities:
- Executive on comprehensive admissions strategies aligned with DI’s enrollment goals and objectives.
- Work closely with department leaders; student services, financial aid, marketing, and other stakeholders to coordinate efforts to achieve enrollment goals.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of the industry, DI programs, policies and compliance and regulatory standards.
- Maintain regular and timely contact with prospective students to provide correct and necessary information for prospective students to make informed decisions.
- Document all prospective student correspondence in the institution’s Student Information System (SIS).
- Assist applicants through the application process via phone calls and emails.
- Coordinate with student services for registration and financial assistance.
- Support relationships with high schools, community colleges, community organizations, and other relevant stakeholders to promote awareness about DI all its programs. Support events as needed, including information sessions, and college fairs.
- Monitor student enrollments, identify obstacles, and address issues to increase student success rates.
- Analyze enrollment trends and demographic data to identify opportunities for growth and address challenges in meeting enrollment targets.
- Serve as a spokesperson for admissions related matters both internally and externally.
- Participate in strategic planning process to align admissions goals with the overall mission and vision of the institution.
Primary Duties and Essential Functions:
- Actively engage with new prospects as they engage with the institution.
- Make it a priority to swiftly interact with all prospects in a timely manner, with the understanding that inquiries are most likely to respond soon after they initiate a request for information.
- Conduct outbound calls daily to support prospecting efforts, adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Maintain databases accurately through inquiry management and logging of all activities.
- Provide information and guidance to prospective students regarding academic programs, admissions requirements, and financial aid options.
- Assist applicants with completing the admissions application and related paperwork. Review applications for completeness and accuracy, ensuring all required documents are submitted on time.
- Conduct interviews with prospective students to assess their interests, goals and qualifications for admissions. Evaluate applicants fit for DI programs and provide personalized guidance.
- Participate in events, and support outreach activities as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service to prospective students throughout the admission process. Address inquiries promptly, resolve issues effectively, and ensure a positive experience for applicants.
- Continuously assess and enhance the admissions process to streamline procedures, improve efficiency and enhance the overall experience for applicants.
- Collaborate with other admissions representatives, and departments to support student success.
- Provide feedback regarding recruitment strategies, marketing materials, and process improvements.
- Share insights and suggestions for enhancing the effectiveness of admissions efforts.
- Uphold ethical standards and integrity in all interactions with prospective students, staff, faculty and community.
- Adhere to DI code of conduct and professional ethics guidelines.
- Complete and stay up to date on all required training.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Five years of progressive admissions, outreach, or recruitment experience preferably in a for-profit college or university setting.
- Solid understanding of admissions processes, enrollment management strategies and industry best practices.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in higher education.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
- Experience with CRM systems and other admissions-related technology solutions.
- Strong written, interpersonal, and oral communication skills.
- Commitment to diversity and experience working with multicultural populations.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, collaborate effectively, and engage with diverse constituencies.
Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is $70,000-80,000 per year. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
