The QuickTakes consumer mobile app (available in the iOS and Android app stores) offers college students an easy and effective way to increase their understanding of their course lectures and materials with the help of a personalized AI assistant. Edkey is based in the SF Bay area and works with engineering teams in HK, China and India so sporadic ability to meet remotely between 4pm-7pm Pacific is required. This is a part-time consultant role targeting 15-20 hours per week on a 8-10 week contract.
Opportunity
We are a dynamic AI-driven educational technology startup seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Consumer Marketing Strategist to help develop our go-to-market initiatives and drive user growth.
Key Responsibilities
Growth Strategy Development
Craft and execute comprehensive growth marketing strategies to expand our college student user base
Identify and capitalize on new growth opportunities based on market insights
Product Marketing & Positioning
Develop in-depth product knowledge to effectively communicate our value proposition
Collaborate with the product team on go-to-market strategies and positioning
Market Research
Lead user research initiatives to uncover key insights and market trends
Analyze competitive landscape and user behavior to inform marketing strategies
Digital Marketing Leadership
Devise and oversee social media and influencer marketing campaigns to enhance brand visibility and engagement
Recommend and implement performance marketing initiatives across various channels (SEM, ASO, ASA, email, push notifications, etc.)
Guide content marketing strategies to drive organic growth
Strategic Planning
Align marketing efforts with overall business goals
Develop and optimize strategies for user acquisition and retention
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in consumer marketing, preferably in EdTech or AI-related fields
- Proven track record of scaling B2C products from zero to significant user growth
- Extensive expertise in performance marketing, including SEM, social media, influencer, and affiliate marketing
- Strong background in product marketing and go-to-market strategy development
- Data-driven approach with excellent analytical skills
- Outstanding communication and presentation abilities
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, design, analytics, engineering)
- Creative mindset with a history of driving viral campaigns and organic engagement
- Entrepreneurial spirit and hands-on attitude
- Familiarity with higher education marketing and/or AI/LLM technologies is a plus
