Role Description: Fundraising Intern
As a Fundraising Intern at EdMission, you will play a crucial role in supporting our fundraising efforts for our pre-seed round. This is an UNPAID position. You will work closely with our CEO to identify potential investors, craft compelling pitches, and manage investor relations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about startups, eager to learn the intricacies of fundraising, and excited to contribute to a mission-driven company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investor Research: Identify and research potential investors who align with EdMission's mission and goals.
- Pitch Deck Preparation: Assist in the creation and refinement of pitch decks and other fundraising materials.
- Investor Outreach: Support the outreach efforts by drafting emails, making initial contacts, and scheduling meetings.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market analysis to provide insights that support our fundraising strategy.
- Data Management: Maintain an organized database of investor contacts and communications.
- Support CEO: Provide administrative support to the CEO during the fundraising process, including preparing for investor meetings and follow-ups.
- Event Participation: Represent EdMission at relevant networking events, pitch sessions, and industry conferences.
Qualifications:
- Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business, Finance, Entrepreneurship, or a related field.
- Passion for Startups: Demonstrated interest in startups and the tech industry, with a particular passion for education technology.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive messages and presentations.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to conduct thorough market research and analysis.
- Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proactive Attitude: Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM tools is a plus.
- Availability: Able to commit to a part-time or full-time internship for a minimum of 3 months.
