Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and implement comprehensive data architecture and strategies that
align with business goals.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to define and execute the company's data vision.
• Utilize a deep understanding of all Azure services (Azure SQL Database, Azure Data
Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, etc.) to architect scalable and efficient data solutions.
• Implement and optimize solutions using Azure Databricks.
• Oversee data modeling, data integration, and data warehousing to ensure the integrity,
quality, and accessibility of data.
• Develop data governance frameworks to manage data assets effectively.
• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers and analysts, providing guidance on best
practices and technical solutions.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data technologies to drive
innovation.
• Apply industry-specific knowledge to design data solutions that address the unique
challenges and opportunities in the oil and gas sector.
• Collaborate with domain experts to understand business requirements and translate
them into technical solutions.
• Communicate complex data concepts and strategies clearly to C-level executives and
other stakeholders.
• Foster strong relationships with key business units to ensure data initiatives support
business objectives.
Other Requirements:
• 10+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience with Azure services, especially Azure Databricks.
• Proven experience in the oil and gas industry preferred.
Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in data modeling, data integration, ETL processes, and data warehousing.
• Strong programming skills in SQL, Python, or Scala.
• Experience with big data technologies and frameworks.
Soft Skills:
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information
to non-technical stakeholders, including C-level executives.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
• Leadership experience with a track record of mentoring and developing technical teams.
