Senior Product Manager

Our trailblazing business management software within a highly profitable niche of industries was built by the team inside and has been refined and validated by one of the largest privately held businesses in the US in their industry. We’re gearing up to catapult our groundbreaking platform and our GTM will take place later this year. Therefore, this is a critical role and it is "crunchtime".
Role Summary:
We are looking for an assertive, data-driven, highly organized, and achievement-driven Senior Project Manager with extensive experience in large-scale enterprise software to build and lead their product team, streamline processes, innovate the software, and drive the successful delivery of their software products.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will play a critical role in managing the product’s features development and conducting comprehensive market research to understand the needs, wants, and voids within the market. Your insights will be pivotal in giving our software a competitive advantage. You will hire, grow and oversee a team of product leaders and manage operations with external UI/UX designers, ensuring the successful delivery of projects aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
As Our Senior Product Manager, You Will...
- Be the "CEO" of the Product
- Own the "Why" and the "What"
- Lead the market/industry competitive research and work with the CEO to make decisions on your industry, competitor and data-driven research
- Own the Strategy and Roadmap
- Lead the "Business Case" and "Go to Market tasks"
- Develop content for training, support and defect prioritization
- Create PRDs and FRDs for all key and future product innovations and features
- Be evaluated on the success of the product (KPIs, sales, user growth) and will be successful if the customers are buying, using and raving about the product
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Features Backlog and Roadmap Management: Lead the development and management of the product backlog and roadmap, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives, value added and market demands.
- Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify needs, wants, and voids within the market, providing insights that give our software a competitive edge.
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor and hire our internal Product team and successfully manage external contractors, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- UI/UX Redesign: Lead the team through an effective and complete UI/UX redesign process, ensuring seamless integration and optimization of enterprise software.
- Design Approvals: Approve designs on a daily basis coming in from external contractors and internal (future) designers to ensure we hit our milestone timelines.
- Product Delivery: Ensure that product goals and deadlines are met, supported by data-driven project management tools like Jira and Pluralsight Flow.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the CEO, CTO and Project Manager (Dev Team Lead) to align development efforts with overall company objectives.
- Metrics and KPIs: Define and track metrics and KPIs to measure effectiveness and performance, utilizing data analytics to optimize product team outcomes. (Will be a Product Team of 1 FTE now; We do have 2 external designers)
- Communication: Drive open communication within the development team, promoting transparency and clarity in the product’s feature requirements, value added, and priorities.
- Visionary: Leader who can envision what the software “Can Be” and not just rubber stamp the existing version, but instead make it truly world-class.
- Knowledge of AI/ Machine Learning: Product leader with understanding of AI capabilities and possibilities and be able to integrate that technology into the future features for the software.
Required Experience/Skills:
- Enterprise Software Expertise: 10+ years experience as a Product Manager with large-scale enterprise software such as Salesforce, Oracle, etc.
- Leadership: Proven experience in project management and leadership roles within a technical and / or software development environment.
- Market Insight: Provenability to conduct and apply market research to strategic product development.
- Analytical Skills: Proficiency in utilizing data analytics tools and methodologies for project optimization.
- UI/UX Redesign Experience: Ability to lead a team through a complete UI/UX redesign process.
- Strong Organizational Skills: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Team Management: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Expertise in Jira and Confluence: Expertise in critical product management software including Jira and Confluence and also other management tools including Lattice, ProductBoard, etc.
- Live and Die by Systems and Processes: Leader who brings a really sophisticated approach to the business
Nice-to-have (not mandatory):
- Previous experience with business performance management software.
- Previous experience in the service-based or construction software industry.
Additional Information:
- Culture: Implement a culture of efficient product management while meeting strict deadlines and upholding the highest levels of excellence and performance.
- Commitment: Full-time, 40+ hours/week (likely 55-70 hours/weekly) with at least 6, ideally 8 hours of overlap with the Mountain time zone. Candidates in North American time zones are highly preferred.
