Job Title: Head of Analytics
Job Summary: The Head of Analytics will be responsible for setting the strategic direction and overseeing the execution of the organization’s analytics function. This executive role involves leading the analytics team, driving the development and implementation of data strategies, and providing high-level insights to inform business decisions. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in data analytics, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of how to leverage data for strategic advantage.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive the overall analytics strategy in alignment with the organization’s strategic goals.
- Lead and manage the analytics team, ensuring high performance, professional development, and effective collaboration.
- Oversee the development and implementation of advanced analytical methodologies, including predictive modeling, data mining, and machine learning.
- Collaborate with senior executives and key stakeholders to identify business needs, set priorities, and translate them into actionable data strategies.
- Provide strategic insights and recommendations to inform business decisions and drive organizational performance.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of data through the implementation of robust data governance and management practices.
- Monitor industry trends and advancements in analytics technologies to continuously improve the organization’s analytics capabilities.
- Develop and present high-level reports, dashboards, and presentations to senior leadership and board members.
- Manage analytics-related budgets, resources, and vendor relationships effectively.
- Foster a data-driven culture across the organization by promoting the value of analytics and data-driven decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field; Master’s degree or higher preferred.
- Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field, with at least 7-10 years in senior leadership or executive roles.
- Proven track record of leading and managing large-scale analytics teams and projects.
- Advanced proficiency in analytics tools and technologies (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI).
- Deep expertise in data visualization, statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and strategic data interpretation.
- Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities, with experience engaging and influencing senior executives and board members.
- Experience with data management, data warehousing, and data governance best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives and drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
