**Job Summary**
We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist the practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, appointments, checking insurance eligibility, collecting copays, answering phone calls from patients, insurances, pharmacies and ensuring the smooth operation of our front desk. This is a small psychiatric practice with one provider and we use electronic medical records making remote work possible on Monday and Thursday with some exceptions. Candidate will work Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 am to 5 pm In the office. Candidate must be fluent in English and Spanish.
**Responsibilities**
- Greet patients, or visitors in a friendly and professional manner, providing assistance as needed.
- Manage a moderately busy front desk, answering phone calls, and responding to inquiries. On a typical day 20 patients will be scheduled.
- Utilize computer literacy to operate our electronic medical record software and various websites to check insurance eligibility.
- Perform various administrative tasks, such as data entry, scheduling, handling copayments, record-keeping, faxes, checking company's emails, and record requests from insurances.
- Provide support as a personal assistant to our team, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently.
- Maintain a professional and organized environment, adhering to our high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Utilize phone etiquette to handle calls, take messages, and transfer calls as needed.
- Work in a fast-paced medical office that offers mental health services exclusively, handling sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
**Qualifications**
- High school diploma or equivalent Preferred.
- Experience as a front desk receptionist in the medical field preferred but training will be provided.
- Comfortable working with computers as the practice uses electronic records exclusively. The system we use is user friendly (Practice Fusion). Training and o going support will be provided.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment, prioritizing tasks and maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Salary position with paid holidays, no weekends.
