Job Description:
We are looking for a qualified candidate to work as a full-time IT Program Manager for a Government client in Washington, District of Columbia.
Must be an Active Certified Program Management Professional (PgMP or ITIL Managing Professional Certification REQUIRED) .
NOTE: MUST be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder
Location: Onsite, DCF Location - 8 hours a day between the hours of 6:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday
Role and Responsibilities:
- A Program Manager is responsible for managing multiple related projects to achieve strategic business objectives
- They coordinate project teams, manage resources, and ensure that projects are aligned with the organization's goals
- The Program Manager oversees the progress of projects, manages risks, and communicates with stakeholders to ensure successful program delivery
- The Program Manager shall be responsible for overseeing the achievement of larger organizational goals
- The Program Manager will be the principal point of contact between COR/Alternate COR and senior management, attend the required weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly meetings, responsible for presenting regular concise program status updates, and ensuring timely resolution of critical program issues
- Attention to Strategy, Implementation, and Delegation: Ability to oversee the achievement of larger organizational goals, lead program strategy, oversee implementation efforts, and delegate tasks efficiently
- The Program Manager will manage the responsibility of quality and efficiency of the contract to include both technical issues and business processes, be responsible for assisting in task assignments, ongoing supervision of technical efforts, and overall performance management of the program, must have a general understanding and knowledge of the Microsoft computing environment, must possess good oral and written communication skills
Minimum Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Technology, Social Science, Data Analytics, or other related fields
- Project Management Professional Certification (PgMP) or ITIL Management Certification required
- at least five (5) years of experience managing personnel and processes in an IT enterprise environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft computing environment
- Experience providing project briefs to Senior Staff
- Expert in translating technical information to non-technical audiences
- Strong presentation skills
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills as well as team building and mentoring capabilities.
- Technical solution-oriented, excellent analytical skills
- Strong budgeting and financial management skills to oversee program budgets and resources
- Ability to lead and motivate teams, fostering a collaborative and productive environment
- Strong strategic planning skills to align program objectives with organizational goals
- Proficient in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across multiple projects
- Experience with data visualization tools is highly preferred
- Ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions
- Skilled in negotiating with stakeholders to resolve conflicts and secure necessary resources
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Certifications Requirements:
- MUST be a Certified Project Management Professional (PgMP) or ITIL Managing Professional Certification REQUIRED.
