Position Summary
Responsible for preparing, reviewing, cleaning, and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, as well as preparing research reports. Candidates must have a thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and working knowledge of SPSS, Tableau/PowerBI, and a survey platform such as Qualtrics/Decipher/ConfirmIT. This is not a "big data" or Data Science position.
Responsibilities
- Performing qualitative and quantitative research and consultation in the life science, clinical diagnostics, and imaging markets
- Performing complex market research analyses (cross-tabulations, conjoint, maxdiff, etc.)
- Managing the data quality control process and cleaning/evaluating data prior to analysis
- Reviewing and updating surveys to prepare surveys for programming
- Testing programmed surveys for functionality and accuracy
- Creating report of results in Qualtrics/Decipher/ConfirmIT (survey management system)
- Running analysis in SPSS and updating/creating SPSS syntax
- Creating charts and tables for reports/presentations
- Reviewing analytic reports for accuracy, grammar, recommendations, etc.
- Staying abreast of industry trends and related markets
- Participating in meetings to understand client needs
- Collaborating with Science Advisors to create clear and useful reports and strategic recommendations
- Working with other team members to prepare the final deliverables for the client in a specified timeline
- Mentoring and training more junior researchers
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- At least 3 years of experience with market research primary data analytics including conjoint analysis, maxdiff, and/or VanWestendorp
- At least 1 year of experience with data visualization
- At least 1 year of experience building dashboards with Tableau and/or PowerBI
- Knowledge of best practices in survey design
- Knowledge of best practices in primary market research
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Self-motivated, eager to learn, and team-oriented
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
- Strong communication and social skills
Preferred qualifications:
Background in life sciences (biology, chemistry, pharmaceuticals, medicine, health science, etc.)
Experience using market research data to develop strategic insights and recommendations
