The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of the project on the owners behalf, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Key responsibilities include defining project goals, creating detailed project plans, and managing project budgets and schedules. The Project Manager will coordinate and lead team members, fostering clear communication and collaboration among stakeholders while monitoring project progress and making necessary adjustments to ensure successful project delivery. Additionally, they will identify and mitigate risks, maintain comprehensive project documentation, and provide regular updates to stakeholders. The successful candidate must embody the values and expectations of the site HSE plan to ensure all workers act in a responsible and safe manner in the performance of their duties.
This role is based in Fort McMurray, AB, working Monday to Friday - 8 hour days.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed project plans that include scope, schedule and budget
- Work closely with relevant stakeholders, contractors, and vendors to ensure efficient project delivery
- Monitor project progress and address any technical issues
- Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and regulations
- Prepare required reports and forecasts
- Manage and allocate resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment
- Conduct ongoing risk assessments - identifying and developing strategies to reduce risks

Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role, preferable with a background in municipal, commercial or architectural projects
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- P. Eng register with APEGA
- Proficient with computers
- Knowledgeable with Microsoft Suite of programs including MS Project
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Demonstrate an understanding of project management methodologies and principles
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting
- Familiarity with industry codes, standards, and regulations preferably within the commercial industry
- Must be able to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and meet project deadlines
- Demonstrate active listening and an ability to communicate technical concepts with non-technical stakeholders
