The Role
We are looking for a talented graphic designer to join our team. This person will work closely with our email marketing and creative teams to create email templates that are on brand, visually appealing, and that align with campaign goals. This person will also support the growth team in developing new paid social ads that leverage creative learnings to resonate with specific audiences.
Responsibilities
- Design and create visually appealing and effective email templates, using Figma and Klaviyo, that align with the brand’s messaging and goals.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to understand the target audience and create email designs that resonate with them.
- Ensure all email designs are mobile-responsive and compatible with various email clients and devices.
- Work with the creative team to stay up-to-date with design trends, best practices, and new technologies to continuously improve designs and performance.
- Willingness and ability to make quick and efficient email template edits during the email testing phase while meeting required deadlines
- Drive digital innovation by partnering with growth leads to create new, experimental, elevated designs for the paid social space.
- Collaborate with art directors, copywriters and marketing leads to bring seasonal campaigns and product launches to life across email and growth channels.
- Present creative concepts and reasoning behind design choices to key stakeholders, ensuring that all digital touchpoints uphold high standards of typography, design, and photography.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, while meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of design excellence.
- Work with the creative team to evolve and elevate the brand, while maintaining a repository of design assets and templates for easy reuse.
Requirements
- 3-5 years experience in design with emphasis on email template design.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure email and paid social designs are on brand, elevated and visually appealing.
- Receptive and open to feedback and edit requests from OneSkin team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly-scaling startup environment.
- Ability to quickly iterate, share ideas, and address feedback.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience in motion design and/or video editing is a plus.
- Klaviyo experience nice to have (emails are sent via Klaviyo)
- A passion for design systems, typography, and photography. No design detail is too small!
- Familiarity with current best practices and trends for organic and paid social, email, and web.
- Experience working with performance data and creative KPI’s to inform design choices and future tests; incorporate both brand direction and creative learnings from performance data into all design decisions.
- Eye for selecting elevated photography that ties into both the copy and design layout effectively; Knowledge of image manipulation techniques to use available photography in new and compelling ways.
- Must include a link to your portfolio with samples of your work demonstrating the above requirements and strong understanding of design principles.
