My client is looking for a Manager to oversee the programs and member services. This position requires a self-starter that has a "can-do" attitude and is self-sufficient in managing multiple tasks.
This person would need to travel to all in state, and out-of-state events when necessary, including nights and weekend as needed. Majority of the travel would be in FL but there will be out of state travel also.
Events & Programs
- Manage all aspects of programming, logistical support, agenda planning & execution, fundraising, sponsorship, site selection and speaker management
- Develop detailed event plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring all events are delivered within scope and budget
- Staff lead for working with third party event management partners on designated events, such as an annual Conference
- Work with Marketing to create content-based advertising materials
- Manage and negotiate event-related contracts
- Manage collateral at off site storage facilities
Manage Chapter Leadership Teams
- Create a SOP for producing events and outline the support needed from staff and volunteers to produce events
- Manage or create all tangible items needed to produce events and have a marketing presence
- Provide support, resources, and serve as the point of contact for all chapter volunteers
- Support chapters through direct and consistent communication using virtual networks, online platforms, and/or in-person meetings
- Arrange regular meetings to engage and motivate all 7 chapters to produce high-quality events that provide value to our members
- Manage lists for sponsor prospects, volunteer rosters,, student rosters, and community partners
Member Relations
- Develop initiatives which enhance the member experience, such as new member onboarding, member outreach, and proactive, regular communication for new and tenured members.
- Act as a professional representative of the organization at meetings, events, and public functions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, partners, and the community to enhance the organization's visibility and reputation.
- Communicate the organization's mission, values, and goals effectively to diverse audiences.
- Gather feedback from event participants and stakeholders to improve future events and outreach efforts.
- Participate in networking activities to promote the organization and identify opportunities for collaboration and growth.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Five plus years of relevant job experience
- Proven success in meeting and exceeding performance goals
- Knowledge of Florida's life sciences industry and related stakeholders
- Marketing proficiency in program promotion, stakeholder communications and analysis of program effectiveness (preferred)

- Ability to coordinate with and lead a team of volunteers.
- Ability to connect with others and forge strong relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email, social media, marketing software programs (such as Survey Monkey, Constant Contact, etc.), project management software and databases.
- Proficiency in design software programs, such as Canva, lnDesign, Adobe etc. (preferred)
