Our client, a well known cloud and security company is urgently looking to hire a Marketing Copywriter to join their team remotely!
** This is a 12+ month contract to hire on a W2 offering a full benefits package **
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelors degree or higher
- Experience in technology journalism and/or who have technical marketing experience in cloud computing.
- 5+ years of relevant marketing experience
- Have a firm grasp of SEO best practices and a high comfort level in using data to derive insights and actions.
- Familiar with collaboration tools such as WebEx and Jira
Job Responsibilities
- We’re looking for a world-class Cloud Content Writer to produce and edit thought leadership and demand-generation copy (short and long form). In this role, you'll ideate and write content for a variety of channels, including email, web, mobile, infographics, ebooks, video, print, social media, blogs, and events)
- You will work closely with product marketing, industry marketing, customer success, public relations, design, and other teams
- Interpret creative briefs to develop exceptional creative copy that addresses audience pain points and establishes Akamai’s authority on a topic.
- Research (internally and externally/competitively) and understand the subject matter and target audiences through online searches, reviews of existing research, interviews with internal subject matter experts, and in-person meetings.
- Write original copy and edit content for various corporate marketing and communications materials, including email, web, and advertising copy, infographics, social copy, event copy, and long-form assignments such as blogs and whitepapers.
- Collaborate with a team of marketers and creative staff from concept development to delivery of the final product.
- Present copy concepts and final deliverables to an internal team and stakeholders as needed and occasionally participate in internal pitches.
- Revise copy based on stakeholder feedback/direction with agility and consistency
