Position Title: Social Media Manager

dpHUE is a premium at-home color and color care brand distributed at ULTA Beauty, Amazon, dpHUE.com and other online retailers. Our products empower consumers to achieve and maintain salon quality color at home between color applications. We want to help our community build confidence in HUE!
Position Purpose:
The Social Media Manager reports to the Vice President of Innovation, Marketing and Consumer Engagement. This position focuses on driving awareness and engagement, fostering community, and growing the brand’s presence on Instagram and TikTok. This position is located in Culver City / Playa Vista and will be required to be in the office at least 3 days a week.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop, create, and curate high-quality, engaging content tailored for Instagram and TikTok, including photos, videos, and stories, that align with the brand’s voice and aesthetic.
- Design and implement social media marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, engagement, and follower growth on Instagram and TikTok.
- Plan and maintain the content calendar to ensure a consistent posting schedule that aligns with marketing campaigns, product launches, and promotional events.
- Engage with followers, respond to comments and direct messages in a timely manner, and foster a vibrant online community by encouraging user-generated content and conversations.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, challenges, and platform updates, and incorporate them into the brand’s social media strategy to maintain relevancy and engagement.
- Track and analyze social media performance metrics in Instagram and TikTok, and provide regular reports to measure the success of campaigns and inform future strategies.
- Plan, execute, and optimize social media campaigns, including contests, giveaways, and collaborations, to drive engagement and follower growth.
- Work closely with Creative Manager to develop visually compelling content and ensure brand consistency across all social media platforms. Collaborate with Influencer Relations and brand ambassador managers to repost authentic content.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- In-depth understanding of Instagram and TikTok, including their algorithms, features, analytics tools and best practices for content creation and engagement.
- Knowledge of current beauty trends and influencers in the industry to create relevant content
- Team oriented with a can-do attitude
- Strong skills in photography, videography, and editing to produce high-quality visual content
- Ability to engage with followers and handle customer interactions professionally
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 4+ years of proven experience in in managing social media accounts and strategies on Instagram and TikTok, within the beauty or consumer packaged goods industry
Work Environment:
This is a hybrid position where the employee will work from a Los Angeles-based office at a minimum of 3 days per week.

Employee is required to travel to business and customer locations, nationally up to 10%.
