JOB PURPOSE
Learns to design and supporting build of best-in-class solutions. Performs business analysis and software analysis with supervision. Supports initiatives that ensure enterprise systems remain best-in-class.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Software Development
Learn to develop existing and new software by analyzing and identifying areas for modification and improvement. Contribute to development of new software that is fast, secure and reliable to meet defined requirements.
Software Maintenance
Monitor and identify software defects for other colleagues to take action on to maintain fully functioning applications software.
Design and Conceptualization
Research and learn to interpret data, trends, and benchmarks relevant to digital products/services design with guidance from other teammates.
Technical Developments Recommendation
Support efforts to research and suggest solutions to improve quality of the software and supporting infrastructure to better meet users’ and/or business, performance, quality needs.
Software Roadmap
Understand the technology road map to facilitate software development and ensure the development work is prioritized in line with business requirements.
Faults Diagnosis and Correction
Learn to find root cause and resolution to limit and address issues promptly with guidance from others.
Functional/Technical Requirements
Understands business functional requirements using document analysis, and workflow analysis to express requirements clearly and succinctly.
Technical Persistence Layer/Legacy Database Design/Development
Monitor and report on database resources and provide physical modeling and design services to tune database solutions for optimum performance.
Program/Portfolio Management Support
Learn to work within an established program management plan to achieve specific goals.
Ongoing Learning and Development
Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation where relevant to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.

TECH STACK
Java REST APIs are the foundation of most of the work that we do. Strong experience with Kotlin or C# may be close enough as other Object Oriented languages to bridge the gap.
- Angular/Typescript/Javascript
As full stack developers, this is our other major framework. Experience with Angular specifically would be nice to have.
Must be familiar with the principles of source control managed code.
Another foundational CS skill- used frequently on our team.

Working on a story from back to front requires a widened lens to view problem solving through. Discernment of which types of problems to solve at which layer.

DevOps automation to improve reliability and robustness of our testing and deployments.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent level preferred
General experience: Sound experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems (7 to 12 months)
Managerial experience: Very limited (0 to 3 months)
Targeted Pay Range: $67,100 - $109,000. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that could include other components such as: incentive, equity and benefits. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
