Job Summary
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage Red Hat OpenShift container platform environments.
- Work closely with development teams to build and deploy cloud-native applications using OpenShift.
- Collaborate with architects to design scalable and resilient application architectures on OpenShift.
- Automate deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of OpenShift clusters and applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to OpenShift platform and applications.
- Implement security best practices for OpenShift environments, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to development teams on best practices for application deployment on OpenShift.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies related to containerization and orchestration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing Red Hat OpenShift container platform in production environments.
- Strong understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and container orchestration (OpenShift).
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Bash, Python, or similar languages.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration or similar certification.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of Linux system administration and shell scripting.
- Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and serverless computing.
