JOB OVERVIEW
The Plaid Penguin is looking for a Social Media Coordinator to lead day-to-day Social Media strategy and implementation for our clients, most of which are leaders in the food & beverage and hospitality industries. You will focus on digital communications initiatives to execute SM campaigns that drive awareness, exposure, and sales for our clients.
We require a creative, passionate, professional self-starting individual to ensure that our clients’ brands are enthusiastically and appropriately conveyed through their online channels. Successful performance in this position will involve creative execution and effective teamwork with internal and external partners as well as disciplined tactical execution.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create engaging content tailored to each social media platform while maintaining the Clients voice and aesthetic.
- Coordinate content creation from ideation to execution for all assigned clients.
- Stay updated on social media trends and new platforms to improve social media strategies and quickly update/adapt content plans.
- Use innovative content and engagement tactics to attract and keep the target audience.
- Manage and monitor the brand's social media presence, engage with the community, and foster a positive brand experience.
- Develop and maintain a consistent content calendar across all social media platforms, aligning with brand objectives.
- Coordinate with other teams to integrate social media efforts with overall marketing campaigns.
- Provide regular reports on social media campaign performance, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Use data and analytics to measure strategy effectiveness and identify optimization opportunities.
- Responsible for scheduling static posts and monitoring accounts.
- Demonstrates clear understanding of Meta Business Suite.
- Work with design and photography teams to maintain a library of “fresh” content for use on various communication platforms on behalf of clients.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- 2+ years of demonstrated SM marketing experience; food and beverage client experience a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment managing multiple clients and meeting deadlines with a high level of professional standards and quality.
- Monitor trends in social and digital media tools and applications and appropriately apply that knowledge to all executions.
- Demonstrated experience using Sprout Social or other scheduling tools.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
Additional skills a plus:
- Ability to do basic image editing for digital applications.
- A “creative eye” to assist/lead at photoshoots.
- Experience with Google Analytics and/or web analytics application.
- Steadfast passion for the food, beverage and hospitality industry.
