Position Overview
You will help decarbonize the economy as part of a high caliber, agile team. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to oversee the installation and commissioning of our systems at remote client sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex projects that involve both hardware and software components. This role requires excellent organizational skills, technical acumen, and the ability to coordinate with third-party subcontractors for physical installations.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Coordination
- Develop comprehensive project plans outlining timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including engineering, software development, and customer support, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Schedule and lead project kickoff meetings, status updates, and post-installation reviews.
Client Engagement and Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients to manage expectations, provide updates, and address any concerns.
- Conduct occasional site visits as necessary to oversee project progress and ensure client satisfaction.
Subcontractor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and engage third-party subcontractors for physical system installations.
- Coordinate subcontractor activities, ensuring compliance with project requirements, timelines, and quality standards.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and address any issues or delays promptly.
Technical Oversight and Support
- Collaborate with sales and engineering to understand system specifications and requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and support during the installation and commissioning phases.
- Ensure that all installed systems are fully functional, tested, and meet Coencorp's quality standards.
Budget and Resource Management
- Help develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that projects are completed within financial constraints.
- Allocate resources efficiently and manage project-related expenses.
- Prepare and present project status updates to senior management.
Risk Management and Problem Resolution
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project impact.
- Address and resolve any technical or logistical issues that arise during the project.
- Implement contingency plans to ensure project continuity and success.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
- Experience as a Field Engineer.
- A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in project management in the engineering or technology sectors.
- Proven experience managing complex projects involving both hardware and software components.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to travel occasionally to remote client sites as needed.
- IMPORTANT: Proficiency in both English and French.
