Junior Systems Administrator

Our Junior Systems Administrator is responsible for providing outstanding service to both internal and external members. In addition, respond to user inquiries, assess problems and issues with IT applications, ensure application versions are current and participate in the upgrade and install process. The Junior Systems Administrator works to resolve software issues for users and provide tier 2 escalation support. They also work closely with other IT department personnel to aid on tasks that are outside the scope of their knowledge or expertise. Junior Systems Administrators need to balance creative and technical problem-solving, customer service, and collaboration to ensure that personnel throughout the organization can access and utilize the software and resources they need for work. Complies with all aspects of Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering, USA PATRIOT Act and OFAC regulations as it relates to this position and will diligently identify and report suspicious activity appropriately.
Responsibilities
- Participate and lead in the design, testing, and implementation of new applications and/or services.
- Ensure the stability of operational systems as well as maintain the integrity of the data they contain.
- Devise or modify procedures to solve problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations.
- Lead projects to resolve complex technical issues.
- Conduct application testing support and participate in overall systems testing.
- Provides technical problem resolution assistance on applications.
- Work independently on escalated issues.
- Coordinate communication across teams to maintain coherent results.
- Manage incident ticket queues to respond and independently resolve application.
- Create security groups, assign access, and administer changes for users.
- Troubleshoot and solve problems with configurations and software.
- Track metrics for stability, interoperability, security, and support
- Devise or modify procedures to solve problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations.
- Administer, update, and maintain software across platforms.
- Systems administration
- Maintain and manage basic Microsoft 365 and Azure AD
- Perform basic server builds and server maintenance
- Perform VMWare tasks and management
- Documentation and Communication
- Ensure service tickets are updated and responded to in timely manner
- Maintain accuracy of FAQ and How-to Documents
- Ensure timely communication in all aspects of IT
Qualifications
- Associate degree, preferred.
- Two-to-three years’ experience required, and five years prior related experience preferred.
- State-issued Driver’s License.
- Must be able to work one or more evenings per month.
