Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Talent Specialist to join their HR team. The Talent Specialist will play a key role in attracting, developing and retaining top talent for manufacturing operations. This position reports directly to the HR Manager and works closely with hiring managers and leadership to ensure our client's workforce meets current and future business needs.
Talent Specialist Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies for manufacturing roles
- Source, screen and interview candidates for positions ranging from production line workers to management-level roles
- Manage the full cycle recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing and offer negotiation
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates through networking, referrals and proactive sourcing efforts
- Partner with local vocational schools, technical colleges and community organizations to develop recruitment channels and internship programs
- Coordinate and participate in job fairs, campus recruitment events and other outreach activities to promote our employer brand
- Conduct new hire orientations and ensure a smooth onboarding process for all new employees
- Support HR initiatives related to employee engagement, performance management and talent development
- Provide guidance and support to managers on HR policies, procedures and best practices
Talent Specialist Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
- Proven experience as a Talent Specialist, Recruiter or similar role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and the specific skills and competencies required for various roles
- Knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws and regulations
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with candidates, hiring managers and internal stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in HRIS and applicant tracking systems (ATS)
