OVERVIEW:
This role supports the Senior Director in completing capital projects to enhance and maintain Rogers Centre, Home of the Toronto Blue Jays, as a best-in-class ballpark for our staff, fans, and players. As a Project Manager, you will oversee the entire project lifecycle, from conception to execution and closeout. You will coordinate with stakeholders, business units, architects, designers, general contractors, vendors, and various third-party groups to ensure successful project delivery.

RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):
- Work with Senior Director to define project scope, deliverables, and goals.
- Develop project plans and associated documents. Manage consultant teams for planning and design of new projects. Ensure accuracy of documents.
- Prepare budgets, construction schedules, coordinate drawings and complete stakeholder approval sign off prior to project kick off. Set and manage project expectations with all stakeholders.
- Identify key issues impacting construction cost and schedule.
- Proactively manage scope changes, devise contingency plans and report on project change. Prepare change order documentation for senior sign off.
- Update project documentation and communicate project status and expectations to team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment between all parties.
- Control the site management, coordination of subcontractors and vendors through to project completion, commissioning, and occupancy.
- Evaluate progress of projects for completion payments.
- Complete project close out and lessons learned documentation.
- Document and file projects in accordance with best practices, procedures, and internal reporting requirements.
- Assist in negotiating contracts/contract revisions with general contractors or trade contractors.
- Prepare reports as needed on existing and proposed projects.
- Create, update, and maintain project and process documentation.
Planning:
- Work with Senior Director to ensure all CAPEX projects are appropriately scoped, costed, and planned.
- Work with Senior Director to develop a multi year CAPEX plan.
- Assist in the input of monthly CAPEX reporting / forecasting for Finance and key stakeholders.
Cross Functional Skills:
- Superior relationship skills and oral and written communication skills. Ability to develop and sustain collaborative working relationships with project stakeholders.
- People relationships are critical in this role and include: all levels of senior management; all departments involved in projects; consultants; architects, engineers, and vendors.
- Attend regular meetings with stakeholders, consultants, engineers, contractors, and vendors to communicate effectively on both the concerns and best interests of the organization.
- Ability to learn and document new industry practices and trends.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required
- Minimum 5 years of related project coordination, project management experience in the facility, or construction industry
- Must have experience with design or construction project management, scoping, and scheduling.
- Must have led small to medium scale projects independently from concept to completion.
- Completion of some formal project management training or construction management training.
- Known as a team player, works well within a collaborative environment including group decision making processes.
- Ability to read and understand architectural drawings and specifications.
- Highly organized and ability to prioritize, allocate time effectively, and manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight time constraints.
- Self motivated with the ability to work effectively independently or with a team.
- High attention to detail and consistent high level of accuracy.
- Superior communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Knowledge of MS Project, Bluebeam, CAD is an asset.
- Knowledge of Oracle is an asset.

- Degree, Certificate, or Diploma in Construction, Engineering, Project Management or similar
