We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic resume writer to join our organization.
About this role:
You will work with our clients to refine and optimize their resume(s) and gain a deeper understanding of the roles they are applying for, and how their unique experience/skills fit.
Responsibilities:
- You will create 1-2 page market/role analyses for roles our clients are targeting
- You will provide high-quality feedback on resume improvements and optimization
- You will copy-edit and/or copy-write resumes to help clients speed up their resume-writing process
- You may create community workshops that add value for our clients on resume or resume-related topics
- You may provide 1:1 and/or group support on resume feedback/writing
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of resume writing experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Knowledge of recruiting, career coaching, hiring, and ATS systems
- Ability to analyze and synthesize market/role opportunities
- Exceptional relationship-building skills and customer-focused attitude
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Highly adaptive and comfortable with rapidly changing environment
- A true love for resume writing and helping individuals shine
- Native or fluent in the English language
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of resume writing experience
- Breadth and depth of experience across a variety of business functions and industries
- Emphasis on working smarter not harder
- Up-to-date on the latest resume technologies and trends
- Resume-writing certifications or training
- Aptitude for coaching, active listening, and effective feedback

Pay:
- This is a 1099-contractor role
- The pay for this role is still being determined, based on job structure and experience
- The current anticipated base pay range is $1250 - $8500+/month
Anticipated Hiring Process:
- Apply online
- Initial 30-min screening interview to discuss career goals, resume philosophy/approach, and culture fit (We will likely interview 5 to 10 top candidates)
- 1st round 60-min interview to discuss resume writing/feedback approach and review work samples (We will likely narrow down to the top 3 - 5 candidates)
- Homework assignment to complete a market analysis and updated resume for a real client within 1 week (You will be compensated for this deliverable at 50% of our resume rate, and you will also receive client feedback on your process/product) (We will likely narrow down to the top 3 candidates)
- 2nd round interview to discuss job scoping, delivery times, and working relationship with your manager (We will likely narrow down to the top 2-3 candidates)
- Final interview, if necessary to address any questions, fears, or concerns prior to agreeing to work together (We will likely narrow down to the top 2 candidates)
- Onboarding (1099 paperwork, references/background check, access to company resources, as necessary), 1:1 weekly or bi-weekly meetings for support/feedback
