Job Title: Gift Processing Coordinator

The Children’s Tumor Foundation (CTF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to
improving the health and well-being of individuals and families affected by
neurofibromatosis (NF), including NF1, NF2-related schwannomatosis, and
schwannomatosis.
GENERAL SUMMARY
The Gift Processing Coordinator is detail-oriented, data driven and highly meticulous. The Gift Processing Coordinator oversees data entry, acknowledgement and customer service for non-digital (offline) donations, to include pledges and employer matching gifts.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Enter, review and submit contribution and gift information to our various gift processing systems (Classy and Salesforce).
Liaise with event staff to gather necessary information regarding incoming donations like proper attribution and tributes.
Produce and distribute acknowledgement letters weekly.
Maintain accurate documentation regarding pledge entries.
Confirm, monitor and enter matching gifts.
Manage the Gift Processing email inbox and take and respond to customer service calls via phone and email and assist with inquiries.
Produce and email daily check reports for staff.
Bulk upload gifts via Salesforce data loader when necessary.
Actively identify the need for acknowledgement correspondence and process the communication.
Update donor records and perform queries to satisfy information requests from fundraisers, program managers, and colleagues.
Support the accounting process by assisting with monthly reconciliation. exercises and audit support as it pertains to gift documentation.
Performs additional duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Data driven and highly meticulous, has excellent attention to detail, and experience with gift processing.
Technical expertise when working across multiple platforms and a willingness to learn. Bookkeeping experience or Salesforce experience is a plus.
Able to prioritize to assure tasks are done in a timely manner, with a keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail to ensure data integrity and quality.
An effective communicator, both written and verbal.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
Someone who thrives in a fast-paced culture, and able to operate and collaborate across multiple teams as well as comfortable working independently.
Resourceful with the ability to solve problems creatively and adapt to situations easily.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
2+ years of experience with complex data entry is required.
2+ years of experience with donor database management in a gift-processing environment is highly preferred.
2+ years’ experience in accounting or bookkeeping is highly desirable.
Experience with nonprofit processes.
Experience using Salesforce is highly preferred.
Ability to learn and use adjacent systems for gift processing and reporting.
Comprehensive understanding of how a Foundation receives and processes gifts and contributions.
Must have a keen eye for detail, strong people skills and ability to comfortably work with others at all levels of organization, the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and be able to work under pressure and be motivated and able to meet deadlines.
Working Conditions, Equipment Used, and Special Information
Must have unimpeachable integrity and trustworthiness and possess remarkable tact, discretion, and professionalism. Verbal and written communication skills will be used daily. Maintains effectiveness under pressure. Ability to lift 25 lbs. Flexible for overnight business travel. Flexible to work evenings and weekends as needed.
