We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Product Analyst to join our Absorb team. The individual will drive business growth by analyzing user behavior, and product performance offering actionable insights and suggestions for product area investment. These insights will help our Product Managers enhance our LMS product and enable the Absorb leadership to comprehend our product adoption, costs versus revenue, and potential opportunities that may not be perceptible without data. This position is the first of its kind at Absorb, and as such the successful individual will have the opportunity to build out our analytics function and drive a culture of analytics within our teams.
What you’ll do:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of product performance, user engagement, and user behaviour to identify opportunities for product improvement and growth.
- Gather and interpret data from various sources, including product usage metrics, customer feedback, and market research to inform decision-making.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and stakeholders to define KPIs, generate reports, and track ongoing product performance.
- Conduct A/B testing and other experiments to understand user behavior and optimize product features.
- Develop models and dashboards to visualize data and communicate insights to stakeholders effectively.
- Provide strategic recommendations for product enhancements, new features, and market expansion based on data-driven insights.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of product changes, optimizations, and new features to drive continuous improvement.
- Work cross-functionally with marketing, client success, finance and sales to ensure different data and perspectives are considered and resources are pooled to increase effectiveness of analysis.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and competitive landscape to inform product strategy.
What you'll bring:
- 3+ years experience in a Data Analyst or related role, preferably in a SaaS or technology company
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in mathematics, economics, statistics, computer science, or related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in data analysis, data visualization, statistical analysis, and product performance evaluation.
- Proficiency in SQL, HTML, R, and Python as well as experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and draw insights from complex data
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey analytical findings and recommendations.
- Experience with product analytics tools such as Pendo or Amplitude is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and drive actionable outcomes from data analysis.
- Knowledge of product management and software development processes is an advantage.
