Role Description
IOTA Labs is seek venture partners who can help identify, work with and promote humanity enhancing ventures. Individuals are highly expected to already have deep relationships with founders, early stage companies and networks beyond. IOTA has program called hypergrowth; which provides founders with access to channel partners, revenue partners, tech build and fundraising a partners. This role is to identify individuals / companies who are serious about their venture and who want to take it to the next level. IOTA typically works with ventures by building boards of rainmakers, building early MVPs and beyond. As a Venture Partner at IØTA Labs, you will be responsible for identifying and evaluating investment opportunities, conducting due diligence, and managing portfolio companies. You will collaborate with entrepreneurs, industry experts, and other investors to make strategic investment decisions. You will also provide mentorship and support to portfolio companies to help them achieve their growth objectives.
Expectations
- Identify founders who are serious about their ventures, typically ones with early revenue or who are willing to pay for acceleration
- This role is highly depedant on your ability to find, and close deals. This role will start out as an internship (ie non paid, no time commitment) and if you close one deal you will be promoted to a junior venture partner. Venture Partners are expected to be closing around 10-15 deals a month; the target compensation at that point is roughly 120-250k
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, or a related field
- Founder experience
- Passion for changing the world
- Proven track record of successful investments and exits
- In-depth knowledge of the technology and startup ecosystem
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A strategic mindset with the ability to identify trends and opportunities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
