Design Lead
About the Role
As the Design Lead, in close collaboration with the Creative Director, you will oversee the delivery and implementation of on-brand, industry-leading creative, maintaining Joe Fresh's high creative standards and adhering to seasonal creative directives and guidelines for all marketing materials executed for Joe Fresh. We seek a Design Lead with a proven track record in leading top-tier in-house creative. You will collaborate closely with our Project Manager, Art Direction Lead, Senior Copywriter, Junior Art Directors and Graphic Designers to develop design systems for weekly creative and campaign related marketing.
Creative Leadership
•Comprehend communication strategies through creative briefings, leading a team of designers under the guidance of the Creative Director to develop weekly creative.
• Produce and present creative decks showcasing weekly creative to internal stakeholders for review.
• Establish and uphold design standards, in alignment with guidance from the Creative Director, across all levels of creative (print, signage, large format, digital, social).
• Foster effective communication and collaboration with marketing colleagues and ecommerce partners.
• Provide mentorship and support for the professional development of team members.
• Exhibit strong communication and teamwork skills when collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrate self-motivation, the ability to thrive under pressure, and adeptness in managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Continuously enhance leadership and management skills.
• Embrace feedback and foster open, two-way communication within the team.
Who You Are
• Possess 5+ years of experience in Graphic Design in a leadership role
• Preferably hold a BA or BFA in Arts, Fashion, or Graphic Design
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, knowledge in Figma
• Experience in managing a team of graphic designers
• Experience developing brand guidelines, rebrands, design systems
• Experience with fashion retail a plus
• Up-to-date on current industry trends
• Goal-oriented, with a proven ability to manage effectively amidst rapid change in a dynamic environment.
• Possess strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, and strategic-planning skills.
• Demonstrate adeptness in relationship-building, presentation, and communication (both written and verbal), with a demonstrated ability to collaborate across various disciplines.
