Position Summary:
Radost Solutions is seeking a Project Manager 2 with a strong background in prescription drug management to join our team on a contract with a major healthcare client. This role focuses on developing and implementing drug strategies for Medicare and Medicaid programs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in medical drug management and a deep understanding of pharmacy benefits in government-sponsored health plans.
Key Functions/Responsibilities:
• Manage projects related to prescription drug benefit design, formulary management, and drug utilization strategies for Medicare and Medicaid programs.
• Develop and implement drug strategies that optimize patient care while managing costs effectively.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including clinical pharmacists, data analysts, and policy experts to drive pharmacy benefit initiatives.
• Analyze drug utilization data and market trends to inform strategic decisions on formulary placement and benefit design.
• Ensure compliance with CMS regulations and state Medicaid requirements related to prescription drug coverage.
• Lead workgroups and facilitate meetings with stakeholders to advance pharmacy benefit management initiatives.
• Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocations for drug management projects.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to drug benefit changes and implementation.
• Prepare and present regular updates on project status, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
Experience:
• 3-5 years of project management experience in healthcare, with a focus on pharmacy benefits management.
• Demonstrated experience working with Medicare Part D and Medicaid prescription drug programs.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical industry trends, PBM operations, and drug pricing dynamics.
Preferred/Desirable:
• PMP certification or equivalent experience.
• Experience with pharmacy benefits management software and data analytics tools.
• Background in pharmacy, nursing, or related healthcare field.

• Possesses working knowledge of enterprise strategy and able to apply that understanding to influence or guide project stakeholders.
• Extensive knowledge of project management industry and trends.
• Able to lead / facilitate discussion of complex topics in a way that is inclusive and supportive of all participants.
• Able to manage and influence others.
• Strong focus on service to internal and external customers. Recognition of the enabling nature of project management.
• Serve as a trusted partner to the business / project owner. Work with the project team to find solutions to project problems or roadblocks.
• Identify areas of concern or constraint, and actively advocate within the PMO and the Business for needed project resources, decisions, etc.
Additional requirements:
• Deep understanding of Medicare and Medicaid drug coverage policies and regulations.
• Ability to interpret and apply complex pharmacy benefit rules and guidelines.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data insights into actionable strategies.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex pharmacy concepts to diverse audiences.
