Gabriel Horn Capital is seeking a Marketing Director to join our North American private equity advisory team. The core business is private equity fund placement. This is a great career opportunity for an entrepreneurial and self-motivated individual.
The position is focused on working with the Gabriel Horn Capital team to primarily focus on the operations responsibilities in support of the firm’s alternative asset fund marketing mandates (private equity, private credit, and other illiquid alternative asset strategies). This will include working directly with the team and assisting with the day to day support necessary to manage our client’s demands as well the day to day of the organization.
Responsibilities will include:
- Project management and helping with client/investor relations
- Editing and adjusting client related spreadsheets
- Assisting in scheduling and managing Partner’s meetings and calls
- Understand SEO and assist the firm in utilizing it for new lines of business
- Special projects and other ad hoc requests that arise periodically
- Research on potential clients, potential investors and secondary transactions
- Assist in the creation (both electronically and physically) and periodic updating of client marketing materials and the underlying support files
- Assist in creating and editing the firm’s internal research and marketing materials
- Respond to investor data requests (due diligence questionnaires, RFPs, etc.) and other general and specific inquiries made in connection with the marketing of the firm’s clients
- Develop bi-weekly activity reports for clients
- Work with bookkeeper to ensure accuracy
- Maintain and ensure the accuracy of the firm’s CRM system
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and research skills required
- Strong attention to detail
- Creative as we think of new lines of business
- Interact and communicate effectively with all levels of a financial services organization
- Operate in a high pressure, entrepreneurial environment and to show initiative
- Ideal candidate has some understanding of alternative investment strategies (i.e., private equity)
- Knowledge of database management, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Compensation: Compensation will be as a independent contractor. Part-Time of ~20-25 hours per week.
Location: The position is remote with time spent with the GHC partners in Boulder and Denver.
