As a User Growth and Membership Development Intern at SkillHero, you will be focused promoting, and driving the adoption of our platform in the Education sector, with the ultimate goal of bringing as many high school students as possible onto SkillHero.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and can be both strategic and operationally scrappy, depending on what the situation calls for. You are proactive and detail oriented, with a knack for problem-solving and the ability to create clarity out of ambiguity. You’re obsessed with efficiency, and creativity and you’re constantly testing and deploying AI tools and innovative technology to streamline your output.
Things You’ll Do
During this internship, you'll gain invaluable experience as you work to execute SkillHero’s User Growth and Membership Development Plan in the Education Sector. Your focus will be to onboard as many users as you can to the platform, in particular graduating high school seniors. We aim to serve as the career launcher into the trades for high school students who wish to enter the workforce directly after graduation and these students represent a critical component of SkillHero’s growth strategy.
- Develop In-Depth Research Skills: Assist in researching and evaluating high school partners across the country, honing your ability to analyze data and develop effective outreach strategies.
- Design and execute outbound campaigns honing your business development acumen, as well as building your organizational and project management skills.
- Build Networking and Partnership Skills: Act as a liaison to onboard and enable our high school partners and students, acquiring valuable experience in relationship management and connecting students with their future work opportunities.
- Enhance Strategic Planning Abilities: Engage in strategic planning tasks that will refine your ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
- Professional Growth and Mentorship: Benefit from direct interaction with industry professionals and mentors, providing you with insights and guidance to advance your career.
Basic Qualifications:
- Strong ability to communicate information to diverse audiences
- Eagerness to gain experience with business development and customer experience
- Passion for education, workforce development and connecting individuals with opportunity
- Ability to effectively listen and collaborate across teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with social media platforms and content creation tools (Canva, Adobe)
Salary, Benefits, & How We Work
This is a remote, part-time position with a competitive hourly salary. We recognize that diversity and inclusion benefit our company, our partners, and the communities in which we work and live. The salary range for this position is $15-$28 per hour with the ability to earn commission based incentives. This is for a part time position with an average of 20hrs/week. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to specific work location, skill set, depth of experience, education and certifications. This is a Fall internship position with the potential to extend.
