Job Title: Project Manager - Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC)

Job OverviewOur client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to oversee the execution of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Key Duties:- Project Planning: Plan, execute, and finalize EPC projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
- Coordination: Coordinate with internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
- Progress Monitoring: Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress.
- Scope Management: Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
- Performance Measurement: Measure performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks to ensure successful outcomes and minimize impacts on objectives.
- Vendor Relationships: Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Resource Management: Ensure resource availability and allocation.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
- Decarbonization Initiatives: Lead decarbonization initiatives and ensure projects align with the company's sustainability goals.
- Carbon Reduction Strategies: Develop and implement strategies to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in line with the company’s Carbon Net Zero strategy.
- GRI Compliance: Ensure projects comply with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and sustainability reporting requirements.
Qualifications:EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the EPC sector.
- Experience with activity-based workplace transformation projects is a plus.
- Experience in developing and implementing sustainability initiatives, including carbon emission reduction strategies.
- Familiarity with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and sustainability reporting.
- Proven track record in managing decarbonization projects and achieving significant GHG emissions reductions.
- Experience in leading projects focused on corporate social responsibility (CSR) and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives.
- Familiarity with Indigenous Peoples initiatives and Truth and Reconciliation efforts in Canada.
- Experience managing projects in a corporate real estate environment is advantageous.
